The Brown Pelican Society works to establish, strengthen and support The Health of The Ocean using an approach that includes:

• Advocacy:  Promoting and supporting new policy and regulations

• Communications:  Sharing and promoting the sharing of relevant information

• Research:  Support for the compiling and synthesizing of information & findings from science-based and professionally-gathered research, and its use in growing public awareness

• Stakeholder Engagement:  Engaging, consulting with, and supporting the building of constituencies

• Implementation Planning:  Providing direct, and supporting the development of near-term implementable strategies and policies

PROJECTS and PROGRAMS that support key elements related to The Health of The Ocean - as well as education & communication activities related - are the focus of The Brown Pelican Society.

While the primary interest of The Brown Pelican Society are ECO-CENTRIC policies, we fully embrace a WHOLISTIC approach to finding and creating solutions, recognizing that ALL living beings deserve standing, recognition, consideration, and support.
